RefundMore Review 2026: Fees, Ownership, Trustpilot and a Record Score of 66

By Richard J. · written from ValenciaRecord score 66/100Verified 26 September 2026

RefundMore scores 66 out of 100 as a claim company record, second of the ten: the Copenhagen firm, a subsidiary of Germany's Flightright, takes 30% of an award including VAT, and a further 15% if a case goes to court, 45% in all, and its terms put legal costs on Flightright itself if a court case fails. This record covers the company behind the claim: who runs it, what it takes from an award at each stage, what its terms say if a claim fails, its reviews and the gaps. Our EU261 trust index and fees comparison linked below rank the claim companies side by side; this page records one of them in full.

How RefundMore scores: 66 out of 100

RefundMore scores 66 out of 100, second of the ten claim companies on this rubric: full marks for naming its owner, entity and registration number, held back by a 45% court fee and a Trustpilot base of 415 reviews. RefundMore is not on the four-way comparison or the fees page. Our trust index of 24 September ranked it first of five at the same 66; among all ten companies now scored on this rubric it ranks second, one point behind MYFLYRIGHT, whose Trustpilot listing opened and whose court-case success rate gained a stated basis after the index was compiled. The index is being updated to match.

How the score works (100 points). Fee, settled claim 15: the all-in share of a EUR 600 award, VAT included, when the airline pays without court (20% or less scores 15, falling 3 points for each further 5 percentage points, 0 above 40%) · Fee, court claim 15: the all-in share once any legal surcharge is added (25% or less 15, down to 3 at 50%, 0 above 50% or unpublished) · Success rate as published 15: a number, what it measures, and an average time to payout · Passenger protection in the terms 25: nothing to pay if the claim fails, court costs included; what you owe if you withdraw or the airline pays you directly; a payout deadline in days; payout method and charges; dated or versioned terms · Ownership and transparency 15: legal entity and country, owner or group, registration number · Independent reputation 15: Trustpilot rating and review count on the read date. This is the rubric our EU261 claim company trust index published on 24 September 2026, applied unchanged, so a record and the index give the same number on the same evidence. Scores are ours; the inputs are linked. For claim companies, fixed before any was re-read: a fee quoted as a range is scored at the top of the range, the home country's VAT is added where a fee is quoted without it, and products other than the standard no win, no fee service, such as instant payouts, are reported but not scored.

RefundMore publishes a flat percentage fee with worked examples for three award sizes, and terms that name Flightright as the party that bears legal costs if a court case is lost. It does not publish a date on its price list, an average time to payout, or an independent confirmation of its Danish company number.

Who owns RefundMore?

RefundMore operates as Flyhjælp ApS, a Copenhagen company that its own terms call a wholly-owned subsidiary of Flightright GmbH of Berlin.

Its about page names Gustav Thybo and Johan Thybo as founders in 2014, with Phillip Brechmann as co-founder, and its leadership as Dennis, chief executive and head of finance, Frederik Thede as chief technology officer, Benedikte B. Lund as chief legal officer and head of lawsuit, and Frederik Hedegaard as chief marketing officer. Its terms state that Flyhjælp ApS is "a wholly-owned subsidiary of Flightright GmbH", while the same about page instead describes a March 2021 merger with Flightright. RefundMore operates in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland under the brands Flyhjælp, Flyhjelp, Flyghjälp and Lentoapu; claims outside the Nordic countries are handled by Flightright itself, whose own record is at its own record.

How much does RefundMore charge?

RefundMore charges 30% of the award including VAT out of court, and a further 15% including VAT to cover legal costs if a case reaches court, 45% in all. Worked from its price list on 26 September 2026.

AwardFee, settled (30%)Fee, in court (45%)
EUR 250EUR 75.00, you keep EUR 175.00EUR 112.50, you keep EUR 137.50
EUR 400EUR 120.00, you keep EUR 280.00EUR 180.00, you keep EUR 220.00
EUR 600EUR 180.00, you keep EUR 420.00EUR 270.00, you keep EUR 330.00

RefundMore's price list states plainly that "all the above amounts are stated in EUR including VAT", so no VAT is added on top of these figures. The price list carries no date or version. RefundMore charges nothing up front and nothing if the claim fails. How other claim companies' fees compare on the same EUR 600 award is in the claim company fees comparison; what a claim is worth before any fee is set out in the EU261 compensation calculator.

What RefundMore's terms say if a claim fails, you withdraw or the airline pays you

RefundMore's terms put legal costs on Flightright if a court case fails, end the contract once its fee is paid when an airline pays a passenger directly, and give no deadline in days for its own payout.

The terms are dated 19 June 2026. Why a claim company's promise on a failed court case matters more than its headline fee is explained in no win, no fee flight compensation, explained.

How a RefundMore claim runs, and how long it takes

RefundMore takes a claim by assignment or by power of attorney, pursuing airlines for passengers in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland, and publishes no average time from claim to payout.

Once paid, RefundMore says it will settle "as soon as" it has received the documents needed to balance the account, without a number of days in its terms. It publishes no court rulings page of its own; how its German parent scores on the same rubric, including its own published court record, is in Flightright's own record.

What RefundMore's success rate measures

RefundMore states it wins 95% of its court cases, and elsewhere on the same page states 95% of all cases, without clarifying whether the two describe the same measure.

Its home page carries both "We win 95% of our court cases" and "We win 95% of all cases". It gives no average time to payout. Among the ten claim companies scored on this rubric, MYFLYRIGHT, Fairplane and Flightright also tie a rate to court cases; AirAdvisor gives 98% with no basis; Compensair, Flight-Delayed.com, AirClaim, Skycop and EUclaim publish none.

What RefundMore reviews say

RefundMore holds 4.4 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 415 reviews, the smallest review base of the three highest scoring claim companies on this rubric.

The listing has been claimed since January 2019, shows a newest review dated 7 September 2026, and 13% of its reviews are one star. Two addresses of the same profile, refundmore.com and www.refundmore.com, return identical figures. No second review platform with a rating was found.

Who RefundMore suits, and who it does not

RefundMore suits a passenger claiming from Denmark, Sweden, Norway or Finland who wants Flightright's backing without Flightright's own higher published fee.

At 30% including VAT, EUR 180 of a EUR 600 award, RefundMore takes less than Flightright's top rate of up to EUR 214.20, though slightly more than MYFLYRIGHT's EUR 178.50. In court its EUR 270 is less than Flightright's EUR 314.16 or AirAdvisor's EUR 300, though more than Fairplane's capped EUR 210. It suits less well a passenger outside the Nordic countries, whom Flightright itself handles under its own, higher fee. Whether to use a claim company at all, or claim directly, is weighed in claims companies against claiming yourself.
