Raffles is fourteenth of the twenty brands on our luxury hotel brand hierarchy, at 78 out of 100: an Accor brand with 25 hotels and 3,905 rooms as of 30 June 2026 by Accor's own count, including Raffles Hotel Singapore, rated Forbes Five-Star with Three MICHELIN Keys. This record is the evidence file behind that score. It sets out what Raffles and Accor publish about the brand, how Forbes Travel Guide and the MICHELIN Guide rate the Raffles hotels we could read, what could not be found, and where our own pages and Raffles's figures disagree.

Is this your company? Correct a fact. Raffles can correct any line of this record through the contact page. Corrections are logged with the previous value kept, and the score moves only if the evidence does.
Raffles scores 78 out of 100, fourteenth of twenty brands: 14 of 20 for rate band, 17 of 25 for consistency across the portfolio, 17 of 20 for service depth, 13 of 15 for food and drink and 17 of 20 for privacy and scale. The points are the luxury hotel brand hierarchy's of 7 September 2026, carried unchanged; under each criterion is what we could read on 26 September 2026. One figure the hierarchy does not print at all could be read on Accor's own pages, 25 hotels and 3,905 rooms as of 30 June 2026; another the hierarchy states, that Raffles has been "Accor's flagship since 2016" could not be confirmed on any Accor or Raffles page we opened.
| Criterion | Points | Out of | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rate band | 14 | 20 | No Raffles page we opened prints a rate outside the booking engine. The hierarchy places Raffles in its premium luxury band, EUR 800 to 2,000 a night. |
| Consistency across the portfolio | 17 | 25 | Accor counts 25 Raffles hotels with 3,905 rooms at 30 June 2026. The MICHELIN Guide lists 21 and gives Keys to 16: Three at Raffles London at The OWO and Raffles Hotel Singapore, Two at nine, One at five. Forbes Travel Guide rates Raffles Hotel Singapore Five-Star and Le Royal Monceau Paris and Raffles Europejski Warsaw Four-Star. |
| Service depth | 17 | 20 | Forbes Travel Guide says that at Raffles Hotel Singapore 'every accommodation is a suite, and every guest gets a dedicated butler' no Raffles page we opened gives staff numbers. |
| Food and drink | 13 | 15 | Raffles says Il Carpaccio at Le Royal Monceau has held One MICHELIN Star since 2022; Raffles London at The OWO names restaurants by Mauro Colagreco and Endo Kazutoshi without star counts, and Raffles Hotel Singapore's dining page names no MICHELIN recognition. |
| Privacy and scale | 17 | 20 | Raffles Hotel Singapore has 115 suites and Raffles London at The OWO 120 rooms and suites (MICHELIN Guide); Raffles Europejski has 106 rooms and Le Royal Monceau 149 (Forbes Travel Guide); Raffles Makati and Raffles Bali have 32 each (MICHELIN Guide). Accor's 3,905 rooms across 25 hotels average about 156. |
| Total | 78 | 100 | Luxury hotel brand hierarchy score of 7 September 2026, carried unchanged; evidence read 26 September 2026. |
Raffles publishes who owns it, when it was founded and what its loyalty programme offers; it publishes less about the company built around the brand: no Raffles-specific leader, no date for when it joined Accor, and no single sentence pairing its hotel count with a country total. Accor's own brand page is more forthcoming than the hierarchy on scale, 25 hotels and 3,905 rooms, though the MICHELIN Guide's database lists only 21, and Raffles Maldives Meradhoo does not appear in it. The outside ratings read well where they could be read: Forbes Travel Guide rates Raffles Hotel Singapore Five-Star, and the MICHELIN Guide gives 16 of those 21 hotels a Key, including Three, its highest grade, at Raffles Hotel Singapore and Raffles London at The OWO.

The record holds 18 facts about Raffles, each with its source and grade. Grade A means the company's own site or terms; grade B means a rating body such as Forbes Travel Guide or the MICHELIN Guide, a registry or major press; grade C means a secondary source not confirmed elsewhere. Every line was read on 26 September 2026 unless its source says otherwise.

Raffles is owned by Accor: raffles.com's own data-protection clause names Accor SA as the processor of guest data, and Accor's group site carries a dedicated Raffles brand page; no page we opened could confirm the hierarchy's claim that Raffles has been Accor's flagship since 2016.
Raffles's own about page dates the brand to 1887, when "four entrepreneurial Persian-Armenian brothers, the Sarkies," opened a 10-room hotel in Singapore and named it after Sir Stamford Raffles; no individual founder's first name is given beyond "the Sarkies". Its registered office, printed in its Terms of Use, is 250 North Bridge Road, #10-00 Raffles City Tower, Singapore 179101 (map). Accor Group's own separate corporate head office address was not found on any page we opened, and no Raffles-specific brand president or leader is named on any page we opened: only Accor's Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Sébastien Bazin, named on its leadership page.
Our own luxury hotel brand hierarchy calls Raffles "Accor's flagship since 2016" a date this record could not confirm: no page on raffles.com or group.accor.com states when Raffles joined Accor, and Raffles's own about page gives only the 1887 founding. The date goes to the hierarchy's next quarterly re-score.
Accor counts 25 Raffles hotels with 3,905 rooms as of 30 June 2026, a figure the hierarchy itself does not print; the MICHELIN Guide's own database lists only 21, and raffles.com's own sitemap lists 24, and neither includes Raffles Maldives Meradhoo. Five of the hotels, read on 26 September 2026, show how widely the portfolio spreads.
| Hotel | Where | MICHELIN Keys |
|---|---|---|
| Raffles Hotel Singapore | Singapore | Three Keys |
| Raffles London at The OWO | London, UK | Three Keys |
| Raffles Udaipur | Udaipur, India | Two Keys |
| Raffles Doha | Doha, Qatar | Two Keys |
| Raffles Dubai | Dubai, UAE | No Key |
Three attempts to reach Raffles Maldives Meradhoo's own page each failed: two returned no result and a third loaded Seychelles content instead, so this record cannot confirm that resort's own room count. Raffles's pages name no separate residences count either, unlike some rival brands; how branded residence programmes compare across the hierarchy generally is scored in our branded residences index, though Raffles is not among the brands it covers.
Forbes Travel Guide rates Raffles Hotel Singapore Five-Star and two more hotels Four-Star; the MICHELIN Guide gives a Key to 16 of the 21 Raffles hotels it lists, two of them Three Keys, its highest grade.
| Hotel | Forbes Travel Guide | MICHELIN Keys | Rooms |

Forbes Travel Guide grades hotels Recommended, Four-Star or Five-Star; its pages for Raffles London at The OWO and Raffles Dubai each redirected to the Forbes home page rather than loading. The MICHELIN Guide's search for Raffles returned 21 hotels on 26 September 2026, and 16 of them hold a Key. Four of those Keys, at Raffles Europejski Warsaw, Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh, Raffles Jakarta and Raffles Doha, showed on the Guide's search listing but not on the hotel's own page, and were settled against the relevant city listing instead. Raffles says Il Carpaccio at Le Royal Monceau has held one MICHELIN star since 2022, a claim on Raffles's own page rather than the MICHELIN Guide's.
Raffles runs ALL Accor, Accor's own points programme, confirmed on its home page; no Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts or Virtuoso participation was confirmed on any page we opened.
Raffles's own home page confirms members can earn and redeem points, with a member rate, room upgrades and free nights also named; these are Accor's own scheme, not a separate preferred-partner programme. No Raffles or Accor page we opened confirmed or denied a Fine Hotels + Resorts or Virtuoso listing for Raffles, unlike some brands compared in Direct vs Amex FHR vs Virtuoso. Readers who prefer booking through an adviser can compare options in our best luxury travel companies guide.
For a traveller who already collects points, that is the trade: an ALL Accor stay earns Accor's own currency rather than a Marriott, Hilton or Hyatt tier. How the major chain top tiers compare is set out in Hilton Diamond vs Marriott Titanium vs Hyatt Globalist and the hotel status match guide; general card comparisons are in our guide to the best luxury travel credit cards and, head to head, in Amex Platinum vs Chase Sapphire Reserve.
Raffles suits a traveller drawn to a historic name who also wants to earn Accor loyalty points; it suits less well anyone who wants a rate before enquiring, a single confirmed hotel count, or a brand-specific leader to write to.
Room counts among Raffles's named hotels range from 32 at Raffles Bali and Raffles Makati to 149 at Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris. Several are city hotels, in Singapore, Paris, Warsaw, Boston, Jakarta and Doha among others; city trips more widely are weighed in best city break destinations.
Forbes Travel Guide's Five-Star rating for Raffles Hotel Singapore and its description of a dedicated butler for every guest there are the strongest service claims this record could confirm; no Raffles page publishes staff numbers or a butler model for its other hotels. How Raffles compares against the brands scored just above and below it on the hierarchy is set out below.
Which brand, chain status, how to book and a close rival one tier down are the next decisions, and each has its own page here.
| Decision | What matters | Where we cover it |
|---|---|---|
| Which brand | Twenty brands scored on the same five criteria. | Luxury hotel brand hierarchy |
| Chain status | An ALL Accor stay earns Accor's own currency, not Marriott, Hilton or Hyatt. | Hilton vs Marriott vs Hyatt top tiers; Status match guide |
| How to book | Direct through ALL Accor, or a card comparison instead. | Direct vs Amex FHR vs Virtuoso; Amex Platinum vs Chase Sapphire Reserve |
| A close rival | Park Hyatt scores three points lower, one tier down on the hierarchy. | Park Hyatt record |
| Same tier, higher score | One&Only, Belmond and Six Senses all score above Raffles in the same premium luxury tier. | One&Only record; Belmond record; Six Senses record |
Raffles appears on one Uncompromised Travel page with a position or a figure: the luxury hotel brand hierarchy, where it holds a numbered rank.
| Page | Position | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Luxury hotel brand hierarchy | No. 14 of 20, 78/100 | Names the owner as Accor and calls Raffles "Accor's flagship since 2016" without a hotel count; no page we opened could confirm a 2016 date, and Accor's own Raffles brand page prints 25 hotels and 3,905 rooms as of 30 June 2026 |
The nearest alternatives on the same rubric are the brands scored just above Raffles in the same premium luxury tier, One&Only, Belmond and Six Senses, plus Park Hyatt one tier below. All three of the higher brands sit in the hierarchy's premium luxury tier alongside Raffles.
| Brand | Score | How it differs |
|---|---|---|
| One&Only | 83 | Kerzner International's resort brand; 13 resorts open by its own pages, a count Kerzner does not itself state, and the MICHELIN Guide gives ten of them a Key |
| Belmond | 82 | LVMH-owned since 2019; 27 hotels, 7 trains, 7 boats and 2 safari lodges by LVMH's count, a different total from the hierarchy's 32 hotels and six trains |
| Six Senses | 81 | 27 open hotels and 2,120 rooms under IHG at 30 June 2026; whether members earn or redeem IHG One Rewards points there is not stated on any page we opened |
| Park Hyatt | 75 | 45 Park Hyatt hotels listed by the MICHELIN Guide, though Hyatt itself publishes only a year-end room count, 9,376 at 31 December 2025 |
Six things a guest would want could not be found or verified for Raffles. Supplying a verifiable source closes a gap; it changes the evidence, never the rubric.
| Missing | Where we looked |
|---|---|
| A brand-specific leader or president | Accor's own leadership page and Raffles's own about and press pages, which name only Accor's Group Chairman and CEO |

Raffles's own pages carry no dated 2025 or 2026 news; what changed is what could be read on 26 September 2026: Accor's own hotel and room count, a fresh sweep of MICHELIN Keys, and Forbes Travel Guide's ratings.

Accor. raffles.com's own data-protection clause names Accor SA as the processor of guest data, and Accor's group site carries a dedicated Raffles brand page. No Raffles-specific leader is named on any page we opened; Accor's Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer is Sébastien Bazin. It scores 78 out of 100 on this record, fourteenth of twenty brands.
Accor counts 25, with 3,905 rooms, as of 30 June 2026, a figure the hierarchy itself does not print. The MICHELIN Guide's own database lists 21 and raffles.com's sitemap lists 24, and neither includes Raffles Maldives Meradhoo.
Yes, ALL Accor. Raffles's own home page confirms members earn and redeem points, plus a member rate, room upgrades and free nights. No Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts or Virtuoso participation was confirmed on any page we opened.
Raffles prints no rate outside its booking engine; Raffles Hotel Singapore's own page shows only a dynamic widget. Our luxury hotel brand hierarchy places Raffles in the premium luxury band, EUR 800 to 2,000 a night.
16 of the 21 Raffles hotels the MICHELIN Guide lists hold a Key: Three, its highest grade, at Raffles Hotel Singapore and Raffles London at The OWO, Two at nine more including Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris and Raffles Europejski Warsaw, and One at five further hotels.
One that could be read: Raffles Hotel Singapore. Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris and Raffles Europejski Warsaw are rated Four-Star, and Raffles Boston is marked Soon To Be Rated. Raffles London at The OWO and Raffles Dubai's Forbes pages each redirected to the Forbes home page.
It varies widely: 32 at Raffles Bali, 106 at Raffles Europejski Warsaw, 115 suites at Raffles Hotel Singapore, 120 at Raffles London at The OWO, 137 across two settings at Raffles Udaipur, 147 at Raffles Boston and 149 at Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris.
Singapore, 1887, when four Persian-Armenian brothers, the Sarkies, opened a 10-room hotel and named it after Sir Stamford Raffles. No individual founder's first name is given beyond "the Sarkies".
Raffles's own Terms of Use give its registered office as 250 North Bridge Road, #10-00 Raffles City Tower, Singapore 179101. Accor Group's own separate corporate head office address was not found on any page we opened.
On our luxury hotel brand hierarchy Raffles scores 78 and Park Hyatt 75. Raffles leads on rate band, 14 against 12, service depth, 17 against 15, food and drink, 13 against 12, and privacy and scale, 17 against 15; Park Hyatt leads on consistency across the portfolio, 21 against 17.
